Yellow!

Hi there!

This is the last of the Beautiful Ladies cards I will post.  I feel it's time to move on to some different stamps.

For this card I made a 14 cm white square card.  The background I created using the Martha Stewart punch around the page and edge punch, the flowers too were made with a Martha Stewart punch.

I stamped the image (again this stamp was mounted on EZ mount and placed on a rock-a-block).  Even with the mount foam on a normal acrylic block I was still getting a faint patch in the middle of her head!  I have used Memento Rich Cocoa ink to stamp the image.

I have coloured the image using spice, forest green, bright orange and blush Promarkers. It is mounted on textured yellow (same as the punched background) and a pearlescent green (found in my stash).

The embellishments I used were bright orange grossgrain ribbon.  It took me ages to find a colour I was happy with, I kept trying different greens which just didn't seem right.  I hope you will agree, the orange was a better choice.  The flowers are made up of two punched flowers one in orange and one in yellow (again same as I used for other parts of the card), with little orange gems to bling it up a bit.   The leaves were made using a botancial embossing leaf punch and the same green as I used in the matt.

And I left this card sentiment free!

  1. I love the design of your blog Diane and the cards lovely. I used to make cards a long time ago, I always found it very relaxing but just don't have the time these days. Good luck with your blog x
